🔒
The short version: EEAT Analyzer runs entirely inside your browser. We do not collect your browsing history, the URLs you analyze, or any personal information beyond what you voluntarily provide through the support form. Your analysis results are stored only on your own device.

This Privacy Policy describes how EEAT Analyzer handles information when you use our Chrome extension and website (eeatanalyser.netlify.app). By using EEAT Analyzer you agree to this policy.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This document is written in plain English so you can clearly understand how your data is handled — not buried in legal language.

Who does this apply to?

This policy applies to all users of the EEAT Analyzer Chrome extension and the eeatanalyser.netlify.app website, regardless of location.

✗  The URLs you analyze (they never leave your device)
✗  Cookies or tracking pixels
✗  Device fingerprints or IP addresses

How & Where Data Is Stored

Extension data — your device only

All SEO analysis results are stored exclusively in chrome.storage.local — Chrome's built-in local storage. This storage lives on your device and is completely inaccessible to us or any third party. Think of it like a website's localStorage, but for extensions.

LocationWhat's storedCan we see it?
chrome.storage.local (your device)Last 100 analyses — URL, score, issue count, timestampNo

How to delete your data

Open the Dashboard → click Clear All to wipe everything instantly. Or simply uninstall the extension — Chrome removes all associated storage automatically.

💡
Data retention: Analysis data lives on your device until you delete it. We have no technical ability to access, modify, or delete it remotely.

Chrome Extension Permissions

We request only the permissions strictly needed to make EEAT Analyzer work. Every single one is explained below:

tab
activeTab
Reads the content of the tab you are viewing — only when you click the extension icon. It is completely inactive while you browse normally.
storage

Saves your analysis history to chrome.storage.local on your own device. This data never leaves your machine and is only used to show your dashboard history.
open_in_new
tabs
Opens the analysis report in a new tab and reads the current tab's URL so the popup can display it. Does not access the content of any other tab.
code
scripting
Injects the analysis engine into the active page when you click Analyze. Used only to read the page's DOM structure for the SEO audit. No data is ever sent anywhere.
notifications
notifications
Shows a single Chrome notification when a batch analysis finishes. Never used for marketing, promotional, or unsolicited messages.
language
host_permissions <all_urls>
Lets the background service worker fetch HTML from any URL you explicitly request for analysis. Only triggered by your deliberate action — never runs automatically or passively in the background.
